Smith Hulsey & Busey honors the tenth year of having Andrew H. Sauer, M. D., a practicing physician and lawyer, and Traci M. King, RN, a certified legal nurse consultant and licensed healthcare risk manager, as part of the firm’s medical malpractice defense team.
Dr. Sauer and Ms. King contribute an exceptional understanding of the science of medical cases and have first-hand knowledge for the manner in which quality healthcare is delivered. Their clinical insight permits high-level immediate investigations of incidents at hospitals and other providers, preserving and protecting important information.

Dr. Sauer is a Board certified pediatric emergency physician practicing at Wolfson Children’s Hospital as well as a shareholder of the firm. He represents physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice litigation, as well as healthcare institutions in matters involving regulatory agencies, licensing boards and peer review panels.
Ms. King recently earned her legal nurse consultant certification through the Legal Nurse Consultant Certified (LNCC) program. She is also a registered nurse and licensed healthcare risk manager. Ms. King?s clinical background is in adult critical care nursing.
