Two Smith Hulsey & Busey attorneys are featured in the latest issue of Attorney at Law magazine’s First Coast edition .
Associate Kayla A. Haines was the issue’s “Rising Star” attorney, and was interviewed for a two-page profile.
“My goal is to push myself professionally and be known as a lawyer who genuinely puts my clients’ needs first,” she told the magazine. “I want to learn from the lawyers and leaders I admire most while staying true to the passion for advocacy I’ve had since childhood.”
Haines is a transactional lawyer in the firm’s Business and Healthcare departments. She is the Director of Judicial Reception for the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association and serves on the board for the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section.
The magazine also listed shareholder Amelia Henderson as a “ Top 10 Under 40″ in the First Coast legal community. Members of the list were nominated by their peers to receive the honor.
Henderson focuses her practice on healthcare regulatory and transactional law, corporate transactional law, trademark, and trusts and estates law. She is a former president of the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association, and has been recognized by the Jacksonville Business Journal as both an ‘Ultimate Attorney’ and ’40 Under 40.’
