Corporate Transparency Act Updates

February 26, 2025

The ruling, issued by Judge Amos L. Mazzant, came in response to a lawsuit filed in May 2024, where plaintiffs argued that Congress exceeded its constitutional authority in passing the CTA. In a detailed 79-page order, the Court found that the plaintiffs were likely to succeed in their claims and extended the injunction nationwide, even though the plaintiffs initially sought relief only for themselves and their members.
