Attorney R. Christopher Dix has been named ‘Outstanding Local Leader’ by the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) for his work with the ACEDS Jacksonville chapter.
Dix was honored at the ACEDS 2016 E-Discovery Conference and Exhibition in New York City for being an innovator in the e-discovery industry and for his dedication and commitment to advancing the profession and remaining at the forefront of technology advancements, education and training.
He has helped grow Jacksonville’s ACEDS chapter into one of the nation’s most vibrant. Under his leadership, the Jacksonville chapter has partnered with Legal Aid to provide pro bono e-discovery services to the community, formed a local rules committee and continuously motivated the chapter board to make e-discovery and ACEDS an integral part of the Jacksonville community.
Dix led ACEDS Jacksonville’s e-Discovery Week, a weeklong series of events, speeches and networking opportunities, and also hosted live webinars on cutting edge e-discovery topics.
At the ACEDS 2016 conference, Dix served on a panel presenting the topic, “The Living Dead of E-Discovery,” with fellow e-discovery specialists from Google, Inc. and the National Labor Relations Board.
ACEDS is a worldwide membership organization comprised of attorneys, IT professionals, accountants, software companies and other professionals that work in the field of electronic discovery in complex litigation.
Dix has been with Smith Hulsey & Busey for more than nine years practicing in the area of complex commercial litigation and has advised clients regarding electronic discovery matters.
