Googe Jr. served as a panelist during the 43rd annual Florida Society for Healthcare Risk Management & Patient Safety (FSHRMPS) conference held August 24-25 in Orlando, Florida. Googe’s panel, titled “Claims, Litigation and Case Law Update” focused on recent malpractice claims and trends in practice, law and cases. Smith Hulsey & Busey was also a conference sponsor.
FSHRMPS is a statewide association of healthcare risk management and patient safety professionals.
Googe has a deep understanding of healthcare industry regulations, including issues related to licensing, technology and insurance. He’s also experienced in navigating healthcare fraud and abuse matters with the strategic sensitivity these cases demand. As chair of the FSHRMPS Advocacy Committee, Googe helps monitor and support regulatory and legislative actions related to healthcare at the state level.
