Attorneys Stephen D. Busey and R. Christopher Dix were recently recognized for their pro bono service on behalf of the Circuit Court for Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit, which includes the state courts located in Duval, Nassau and Clay County.
Busey and Dix volunteered over 200 hours of their time in representing the Chief Judge of the Fourth Judicial Circuit, Donald J. Moran, in a case filed against the Chief Judge in the First District Court of Appeal by Nassau County’s Clerk of Courts and Comptroller, John Crawford. After receiving briefing and hearing arguments, the Court of Appeal denied Mr. Crawford’s petition.
Busey and Dix, along with Nassau County attorney David Hallman, were presented plaques by Chief Judge Moran and Chief Administrative Judge Robert Foster in recognition of their service on February 4, 2014, at the Nassau County Judicial Annex. The recognition was featured in the Financial News & Daily Record which can be viewed here.
