Thomas “Trey” G. Wilson III, an attorney in Smith Hulsey & Busey’s Real Estate and Land Use Practice, was named a “40 Under 40” by the Jacksonville Business Journal for his professional and charitable work.
Some excerpts from the Jacksonville Business Journal about Trey:
What is a typical day like for you? I wake up and go to the gym and then get to work around 8. Then it’s phone calls with clients or drafting or otherwise negotiating some loans or purchases or sales. I customarily leave around 6:30 and head home for dinner with my wife, Megan, and hopefully a walk with the dog around 7:30.
Why did you go into your current field? I grew up watching “Law and Order” and I guess I always thought I’d be a litigator.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Maybe an astronaut.
Best advice you ever got: I work hard and strive to be the best person that I can be and maintain some perspective along the way.
Goal by 40: To still be here at Smith Hulsey and hopefully have moved up the ranks, perhaps to becoming an equity shareholder.
