Smith Hulsey & Busey associate Carli J. Seroka-Frederick has been elected to the board of governors for the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association, and will serve as vice president for the 2026-27 year.
The Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association provides a forum for bankruptcy law professionals to connect, share knowledge and discuss developments affecting the practice. Its new officers and board members were elected June 17 and will serve from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
Carli is a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups. She handles bankruptcy proceedings, business reorganizations and related commercial disputes and advises debtors, creditors and trustees in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases and other bankruptcy-related litigation.
Before joining the firm, Carli served as a term law clerk for U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Jacob A. Brown of the Middle District of Florida. She earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School and holds dual bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and business administration from DeSales University.
