Smith Hulsey & Busey shareholder Charmaine T. M. Chiu recently presented at The American College of Radiation Oncology’s (ACRO) 2024 Summit in Orlando, Florida, on March 16, and The Florida Bar’s Health Law Section event on March 8.
In her ACRO presentation, “Physician Employment Agreements: Taking a Seat at the Negotiating Table,” Chiu shared advice on physician employment agreements and what they should include.
Chiu also spoke at The Florida Bar’s Health Law Section’s continuing legal education program in Orlando. During her lecture “Disciplinary Actions and Reporting Requirements Administrative Law & Procedure / EMTALA,” she discussed physician licensure and the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act.
Chiu is a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and is Chair of the firm’s integrated Healthcare Practice Team. She represents health systems and hospitals, academic medical centers, clinically integrated networks, physician group practices, and other healthcare providers in complex transactions and regulatory matters.
