Lanny Russell has rejoined Smith Hulsey & Busey as a business litigation shareholder. Russell practiced at Smith Hulsey & Busey for more than 38 years before 2017.
Lanny is widely respected throughout Florida as an experienced trial lawyer in complex commercial litigation and administrative law claims and appeals. Russell is recognized in Best Lawyers in America, including as “Jacksonville Lawyer of the Year” in both Construction Litigation and Banking and Finance Litigation.
Lanny has served on the Jacksonville General Counsel Selection Committee for Jacksonville’s General Counsel and as Special Counsel to the Florida Judicial Qualification Commission.
Lanny is active in civic and community organizations, including Hubbard House Foundation, Inc., Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Inc., and former chair of the Jacksonville Public Library Board of Trustees and vice-chair of the University of North Florida Board of Trustees.
