The National Law Journal has named Smith Hulsey & Busey chairman Stephen D. Busey in its 2020 list of Sports/Entertainment Law Trailblazers. He’s profiled in a special supplement of the Journal published this month.
Busey leads the firm’s Sports Litigation practice. He was instrumental in drafting the uniform anti-corruption rules for the governing bodies of professional tennis worldwide: the ATP, WTA, International Tennis Federation and Grand Slam Board. To this day, he and the firm represent the London-based Tennis Integrity Unit , prosecuting players internationally involved in match-fixing and other forms of corruption.
Through its Trailblazers supplements, the NLJ recognizes movers and shakers in the legal industry who have made an impact through new strategies or innovative court cases across the country.
