Smith Hulsey & Busey chairman Steve Busey has been named a “Local Litigation Star” in the 16th edition of Benchmark Litigation for 2023. Each year the list identifies preeminent trial lawyers across the United States.
Benchmark Litigation is an annual guide to the leading U.S. litigation firms and lawyers, and is compiled through extensive research, including interviews with litigators and their clients. It is the only publication that focuses exclusively on litigation in the U.S.
In addition to serving as chairman of the firm, Busey is also chair of its Litigation Department. He handles complex commercial litigation and insolvency matters, and has a successful record in extended jury trials in major business disputes. As a trial lawyer, he represents plaintiffs and defendants in contract, business torts and corporate governance disputes.
