Chiu’s presentation focused on legal challenges facing Florida physician practices, including recent updates to the False Claims Act, discharge procedures, scope-of-practice concerns for medical assistants, compliance with Good Faith Estimates and the No Surprises Act, and how documentation delays can increase liability risk.
Chiu chairs the firm’s Healthcare Practice Team, advising providers, physician groups and healthcare businesses on regulatory strategy, operational compliance and risk prevention.
