Christopher Dix has become the first individual in the Jacksonville area to pass a rigorous examination offered by the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS). ACEDS is a worldwide membership organization comprised of attorneys, IT professionals, accountants, software companies and other professionals that work in the field of electronic discovery in complex litigation.
The examination provides an objective measure of mastery of the challenging field of electronic discovery in complex litigation. Passing the examination is a prerequisite for earning the Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) credential offered by ACEDS.
The CEDS certification offered by ACEDS, which is not affiliated with or accredited by The Florida Bar, indicates that the designee is serious about efficiency, cost-effectiveness and risk reduction in all phases of electronic discovery.
Dix has been with Smith Hulsey & Hulsey for more than six years practicing in the area of complex commercial litigation and has advised clients regarding electronic discovery matters.
Dix is a member of The Florida Bar, Jacksonville Bar Association, American Bar Association and The Chester Bedell Inn of Court. He earned a Juris Doctor degree with honors, a master?s degree of accounting with honors and a bachelor?s degree, all from the University of Florida.
