Smith Hulsey & Busey Welcomes 2022 Summer Associates

Smith Hulsey & Busey is proud to welcome two law students as part of its 2022 class of summer associates. They begin their eight-week internship this week.

Margaret G. McQuiddy is returning for her second summer as an intern at Smith Hulsey & Busey. A student at Tulane University Law School, she is treasurer of the International Law Society, an Innocence Project New Orleans extern, and a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Moot Court Team, Tulane Business Law Society and Tulane Women in Law. Margaret holds a Master’s of International Business from the University of Florida, and an undergraduate degree in business administration.

Catherine A. Gleason is also a student at Tulane Law, serving as the incoming editor-in-chief of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal and as a member of the Tulane University’s Business Law Society. She was a legal intern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida, as well as an office intern for the Office of Senator Marco Rubio. Catherine earned her bachelor’s degree in economics, finance and history from Centre College in 2020.

“We are excited to mentor Maggie and Catherine this summer,” said Steve Busey, chairman of the firm. “Not only will they benefit our practice, but we hope to equip them with the knowledge and experience that will help them in their legal careers.”
