Smith Hulsey & Busey Welcomes Two 2026 Summer Associates

Smith Hulsey & Busey welcomes two law students, Justin Aho and McKinley (Mack) Keltner, as part of the firm’s 2026 summer associate program.

Aho and Keltner will spend the summer working with attorneys on a broad range of matters across the firm’s diverse practice areas. Both attend the University of Florida College of Law and bring strong academic credentials, practical legal experience and deep ties to Florida.

“Justin and Mack are impressive students, and we welcome them to the firm this summer,” SHB chairman Steve Busey said. “Our summer associate program is designed to provide law students with meaningful experience working closely with our attorneys.”

Aho attends the University of Florida College of Law, where he is a Chesterfield Smith Scholar, a member of the Florida Law Review and part of the Florida Moot Court Team. He previously served as a judicial intern to U.S. Magistrate Judge Patricia Barksdale in the Middle District of Florida. A Jacksonville native, Aho earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Florida State University, graduating summa cum laude and earning Phi Beta Kappa honors.

Keltner is also a Chesterfield Smith Scholar and a member of the Florida Law Review. He previously served as a summer associate at Bennett & Foretich in Fort Lauderdale, gaining experience in tax compliance, trust formation, cross-border asset protection, and wealth planning. Keltner earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida’s Fisher School of Accounting and has prior experience in accounting and management.
