Smith Hulsey & Busey was proud to once again sponsor the Night for Heroes gala benefiting TraumaOne at UF Health Jacksonville , the only Level I trauma center in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.
The 13th annual event, held on January 25, honored all of the hands required to bring a trauma patient from the brink of disaster to recovery, including ambulance and helicopter transport teams, physician specialists, nurses, pharmacists, rehabilitation experts and more.
Smith Hulsey & Busey shareholder Meg Heiden serves on the TraumaOne Heroes Council, which consists of volunteers from across the community who plan the event and raise support for the program.
In addition to the funds raised through this year’s sponsors and a robust silent auction, attendees pledged more than $30,000 from their seats to purchase a second extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine for the trauma program.
