Smith Hulsey & Busey has named attorney David Roberts a shareholder in the firm, effective January 1, 2023.
Roberts joined the firm as an associate in 2020 and is a member of its corporate and real estate practice teams. He also advises clients in mergers, acquisitions and other complex business transactions. Prior to joining SHB, he worked as an associate in the corporate and securities group of a large firm based in Nashville, Tennessee, and then founded his own practice, which focused on corporate and securities issues, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions and corporate governance matters.
“David has proven to be an asset to our firm, and we’re delighted to welcome him as a shareholder,” said Steve Busey, chairman of the firm.
Roberts graduated from Vanderbilt Law School, where he served as the Executive Editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. While in law school, he was awarded the Grace Wilson Sims Medal in Transnational Law. He received his bachelor?s in finance from Florida State University.
